Allan P. O’Dette
Allan is currently the Director of External Relations (Ontario) and National Private Markets for GlaxoSmithKline Canada Inc. His main area of responsibility is to foster globally competitive market access for GSK products and sound investment conditions for GSK in Ontario.
Allan currently sits on the Boards of the Couchiching Institute of Public Affairs, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Mount Sinai Hospital Leadership, Co-Chair of the Ontario Medical Association Student Bursary Foundation Annual Golf Tournament, and a board member of the Toronto Biotech Initiative. Allan is the President of the Canadian Club of Toronto for 2007/2008. Passionate about contributing in the community, Allan assists in many other charity and volunteer activities.
Allan has over 18 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having held progressive positions with Eli Lilly, Searle and Pharmacia. He also served his industry association for four years as the Ontario Vice-Chair for Canada’s Research-based Pharmaceutical companies.
Allan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trent University and an M.B.A. from the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto.
