C-Level Forum is a huge success

The C-Level Committee, comprised of a diverse and hard-working group of individuals, organized the "Building a Biotechnology Company – How to Leverage Partnership and Collaborations?" C-Level Forum took place on April 22, 2008, at The Estates of Sunnybrook. With 50 attendees, the day was a fantastic opportunity for biotech leaders to hear from high quality C-Suite executives and industry professionals on some of the key issues for early stage companies in driving valuation and navigating a course for growth. This highly successful forum was profitable for TBI, with sponsorship and registration fees exceeding total event costs.

Special thanks to our event sponsors: BioDiscovery Toronto; Cassels Brock; INO (National Optics Institute); PharmEng Innovations; and PricewaterhouseCoopers. The committee also benefitted from the guidance of YC Lee, as well as the support of Lorne Meikle and Grant Tipler, all of who were instrumental in initiating this event last December. And thanks to Doug Rosser, Sue Munro and Katrin Wade from First Stage Enterprises, who did an excellent job coordinating the logistics.

The committee will be getting together in mid-May, 2008, to debrief the April 22nd event and formulate a strategy to leverage this initial success for future C-Level Forums. The objective will be to take this winning model – internationally renowned biotechnology executives sharing their experiences and lessons learned – and building upon it to provide a unique and exciting experience for attendees.
